Good point. your joints are mechanical, you have a constant bad rash and you are dressed all in black. Best to avoid the desert planet.

Sure it depends where you want to live. It does with every city. I've lived here for 17 years and unless you want to live in Atlantic Station, downtown Decatur or on top of Perimeter Mall you can do better than $300k. Heck, I bought a 2700 sq foot house, on an acre, in a good school district for less than that and I…
Try buying a house in North Jersey vs Atlanta. Did a quick look at a couple of websites and the cost of living in Atlanta vs Montvale is about 50% less.
We should do lunch sometime. It is just around the corner from us.
They are right now, but are moving down right next to the airport. I can see them from my office and I'm hoping for a good neighbor discount. They are putting in a "test track", go-kart track and off road circuit. on the facility as well.
Porsche North America, Lotus Cars USA, Triumph Motorcycles America are all based here in Atlanta. It is a good location with quick access to the ports in Savanna and Charleston, low cost of living and agreeable local governments. Mercedes would be a welcome addition.
This. So much this. The beauty of being an American F-1, WEC, WRC, TUSC fan is that it is damn hard to be spoiled if you avoid the enthusiast media. I went on a cruise over thanksgiving week and missed the last F-1 race. It was a week after we got home before we could watch the race due to family stuff. I had no…
definitely sounds like fuel starvation. We had the same problem with our LeMons Escort around CMP. The car has a wide, but shallow tank with the pump in the center. Get under 1/2 tank it would start cutting out. It got so bad a couple of races ago that we were getting detonation in one of the cylinders. Started…
Life is too short to have it any other way. This is especially true if you work in a high stress environment. You need people you can trust and laugh with.
Not sure why my text isn't there, but I was going to say this applies for planes as well.
Same for planes...
Assuming the race cars are spec'd out to run Le Mans so that is 24 hours, plus 6 hours of practice and quali. Figurea 4x multiplier for driving the sprees limit. Assuming an hour round trip to work each day and you could drive it for 120 days before the engine needs to be rebuilt. Win!
Historics are awesome. It's pure passion...and a lot of money. Like most racing, even if you don't have a car to run, they are always looking for help. If you want to get close and hang out then volenteer. Work tech, timing and scoring, in the paddock directing traffic or on a corner. Enjoy the show, meet the…
I actually saw that accident with my own two eyes. I was standing a little down from where the camera was. I missed the lift off, but caught the landing. Definarely will not buff out.
Things to consider:
The F-16 is single engine and inherently unstable. If it was sufficiently damaged he probably didn't have much choice.
