Precisely what I was thinking as well. I wouldn't put it past Miyazaki to introduce some kind of “Poor baby, can’t get past this boss” feature in his game.

Holy Crap, I am like level 50 something and have never encountered that boss LOL

Awww see for me, in my first playthrough I had Dark Souls bosses I was stuck on for days and weeks (i.e. Ornstein & Smough). A few hours is nothing ;)

I also played with a no shield, light-footed, dexterity character in both Souls games, so this was like super familiar for me.

Turning off the controller speaker was my first settings change lol.

Also plugging in headphones to the controller will filter the audio from the controller speaker to the headphones.

This game is less an RPG and more an Adventure game.

lol @ all the bitching about load times from everywhere. I have yet to wait more than 30 seconds to load anything in Bloodborne.

Excellent review Patrick. Completely agreed, though I’ll reserve my judgment of the later areas till I get there (currently just picked up the Lunarium Key). Having played all of the Souls games since their inception, I have to agree that this one has been the least frustrating of them. I have yet to hit a boss that I

That pebble throw was amazing.

Sounds like there was some heavy amount of miscommunication at some point in this thread.

It’s more the fact you are answering a question about a game you have never played. When it actually requires a pretty intimate knowledge of From Soft’s online functionality to even begin fielding said question. That seems to be what is pissing everyone off.

Seems like the load times improved substantially for me last night after updating.

I would stop now. You aren’t making it better.

Damn, yeah those are both great alternatives. And you’re right. I bet From Soft, intended the player to throw those lures. Good observation.

Yeah the only thing I had to get used to was sticking in the enemies face instead of rolling away to strategize or give myself some breathing room. Once I got used to that the gameplay really clicked, and I’ve been making steady progress each night.

It is exactly like that

I had a ton of trouble with the Blood-Starved Beast during its final phase, but I realized I was approaching the fight incorrectly. For the whole fight I was playing cat and mouse with the boss, dashing in to get a few quick hits in and dashing away. That stops being effective once it transforms a third time. Instead

I enjoyed my time in Dying Light, but the end game really left me cold. I hate games that rush through the climax. That’s a pet peeve.

My favorite mission I think was sneaking into the main enemy base at dusk.

Well this looks like it has everything I want in a comic series. Thanks Evan.

interest = piqued.
