Yes! It drives my bonkers that “the kids” were always objectioning to their clients or having to do unpleasant things in court. Being adefense lawyer doesn’t mean only defending innocent people.

What’s with the glib last line? Masturbation is something people have trouble discussing honestly and openly. This is still puritanical America where talking about sex in an intimate way is taboo.
Does it really make sense that he can’t play bc he went down on her?
Half of the main characters on TGF are black. I’m not sure it really deserves a white savior claim. It is annoying how much the show focuses on Rose Leslie’s character though. She’s much less interesting than the rest of the cast.
It’s half procedural, half character study. If you are looking for something more thriller or horror, I could see why you’d be disappointed, but as a person who has already watched just about every quirky/offbeat procedural (anything with just a bit more flair than NCIS) I can find on streaming, I love it.
Say what you will about TLADB, but don’t bring Cary Agos into this. I remember not initially looking Logan but being very quickly swayed by his easygoing charm. He’s the polar opposite of Jess, light where Jess is dark, simple where Jess is complicated, embracing his class where Jess is rejecting the entire upper…
Slightly OT: Now that I’ve finished Mindhunter, what can I watch to fill my fix? I tried Hannibal, but it’s too creepy/gory for my taste.
I refuse to call the reboot Futurama. It’s a weirdly uncanny valley imitation of Futurama.
Yeah. There are issues with Debbie’s character, but her jokes about breast cancer were dead on for her character, who is clearly uncomfortable dealing with emotion head on.
Are you really suggesting that “women use their vaginas to manipulate men” isn’t a common thought amongst MRAs?
I prefer it to Zodiac (which I also loved).
You’ve probably watched or not by now, but this review is off for the series as a whole. The first episode has some clunky dialogue, sure, and the relationship between Holden and Debbie is never really amazing, but the show is amazing by episode three. If you like smart procedurals, you’ll love it.
Does GoT really have “tens of millions of viewers?” (Not according to my quick Google, which says under 9 million people watched the last finale).
Information is power. I don’t see what Netflix has to gain by releasing their numbers. I’d love to know too, but that isn’t a reason for them to share their data.
It doesn’t have to be either/or. We can take allegations seriously without assuming someone is guilty. We can investigate before we jump to conclusions.
Publishers don’t really market authors anymore. That’s on you either way.
I wish TMP would stop trying to get me to look Jody. He’s the worst.
Or it comes from your imagination. Pain = great art is a stupid myth that leads to romanticizing ignoring mental illness. Van Gogh was in an asylum when he created many of his most famous paintings. He was trying to get help, not livein pain so he could create great art.
It is hilarious that you think Jezebel is anywhere close to extremist. Pre Gawker, maybe, but it’s basically the equivalent of the kind of feminism that sells shampoo now.
Why? Is there any actual reason why we should seperate these things? People always say this but I don’t see the argument.
