Someone invite these minors to the party, so someone had an expectation minors would be there.

Also... who among us did not drink and/or smoke before we were 18?

Why did adults in their 20s invite a 16 year old to their party?

I think it would, based on the internal logic of the show. The zombies don’t attack the other zombies.

Personally, I’d be happy to have no zombies in the show. But I did find the way zombies were written to not really track with the world building. Every time we see a zombie, someone gets bit. One zombie, bit. One thousand zombies, bit. If zombies are this deadly, how have humans survived for 20 years? How did any human

I found that a bit much. I think it’s supposed to feel like a bit much, like Joel is putting way too much on Elli’s shoulder’s, cause he is. She should not be his reason to live. Or his reason to learn to love again. That’s too much pressure for a 14 year old, esp a surrogate daughter with a surrogate father.

Yes, the logic really doesn’t track. This is not the moral dilemma the writers think it is unless you ignore info from both reality and the show (the Fireflies are sorta incompetent. How would they create a cure? Wouldn’t this be a vaccine not a cure? How has there not been progress in 20 years? Why can’t we just take

I haven’t seen a lot of criticisms online, but everyone I’ve discussed the show with has had criticisms about the world building, pacing, or character development. I suppose a lot of these things are changes from the game, but only one of these people has played the game, so that didn’t really feature. I have not

The infected are very nakedly a plot device in the show. They show up whenever it is most opportune for the storyline, in the most dramatic moments, and they are always deadly. There’s no reason to believe people would have made it 20 years with zombies that succeed in infecting at least one person every time a group

It’s not really trendy to show people in harsh winter conditions eating their dead for food. That is what happens in survival situations. Hunting people for food... yes. That is extremely implausible, even within the context of the zombie apocalypses. Because it is so implausible (how could the humans they hunt

I agree that is implied by the episode but I find it extremely implausible. Humans are much worse at surviving in inhospitable conditions than animals who are native to the environment are. Ofc I would die in about twenty minutes in the wildnerness so maybe I don’t know. But logic suggests it would be easier to find

I thought the scene really jumped the shark when the guy said he liked when they fight. It was cartoonishly evil and not in character with his belief in his own moral highground. I am not an expert on sxual predators but I am a woman, and I do not believe, for a second, that he would admit, to himself, that he was

It’s more interesting than good. They took a wild swing and it mostly didn’t work, but it is fun to watch them try.

I think the issue for people is the cognitive dissonance. People either buy into the idea of the American Dream, where anyone with talent and drive can succeed, or the believe we should move towards a more equal world, where the ideal of the American Dream is a little more true. Nepo babies threaten both those visions

Why are we implying she’s responsible for her ex-bf’s actions re vax BS? It’s not a woman’s job to keep her BF in line. I know I shouldn’t expect better on a Kotaku site, but Jezebel used to be an actual feminist site, not one where we uncritically accepted the notion women are responsible for the moral actions of the

Sutton sure traded down from Richard.

A friend of mine worked on a Whedon show years ago and he said half the behind the scenes crew had the last name Whedon. I’m sure he was exaggerating and I’m sure at least a few people behind the scenes got the gig via family connections.

The film and TV industry runs on connections, the same as most industries. Children with parents in the industry absolutely use those parents’ connections. Sure, a high profile actor or director parent has better connections than a script supervisor or set decorator (usually), but they both have connections to give

I think the suggestion is Bryce Dallas Howard is talented and Jaden Smith is not.

Yes, I’m in my early 30s and I have acquaintances who are much younger and much older, but I always feel a little unaligned with people in their early 20s. They’re still figuring out so much of their lives and identities in a way that simply does not resonate with me, at this point in my life. I know older people who
