She already has the "my ex is a bitch/bastard" thing going.
She already has the "my ex is a bitch/bastard" thing going.
The reason why we all wore too much eyeliner and flat ironed our hair back in 2006.
She was in the music video for Girlfriend (or whatever, don't want to look it up). In fact, the first time someone pointed Katy Perry out to me, I thought "she really looks like the girl from that music video." I listened to ~all~ the Fueled by Ramen bands.
I'm very upset that I forgot both my Xanga usernames. You know, one for my friends and one that was secret.
See, I disagree. The root of her problem is that she isn't paying attention to her purchases. THat's why she doesn't realize she's spending so much money on shoes. A lot of young professionals have the exact same problem with their finances. I know tons of people who say they're broke… right after they buy brunch with…
I watched SATC on Amazon about two years ago and loved it. If you can get past the consumerism, it's a great show. I don't blame SATC for the way the women worshiped shoes and designer purses. That was part of the culture at the time. Sure, Carrie is a little self-involved but that's a common problem with protagonists…
Why? The characters on the show are relatable because of their flaws not in spite of them.
They are materialistic and sometimes self-involved, absolutely, but none of them are vapid.
I like that the show was realistic about Carrie's finances. So many people are bad with managing their money, but you rarely see this kind of financial instability on TV. And I believe that, in her desperation, she would have asked Charlotte. But I wish Charlotte had said no.
I don't see him ending up back there. I think he knew pushing Rory would push her away, but there's no way to say without knowing what happened in the last nine years. Which we don't. We have no idea how Rory and Logan went from broken up to cheating on their partners with each other. Which is annoying.
His entire plot in season 7 is about how he tries and fails to impress his father, and his father only starts treating him worse, so he finally breaks free of his duty of being the heir.
I think he's only engaged. When he sees Rory at the bar she asks if he's really marrying Odette, so I figure the wedding is fast approaching.
Yes! Logan grew a lot in season seven. He ended the show as a good guy who was finally or from under his father's thumb. He is nothing like sixteen year old Christopher.
Yes, there's no way this Jess would ever respect this Rory. He would always look down on her for being bourgeois.
I watched all of Gilmore Girls in the last three months (I'd watched seasons one through the one and off way bach when), so all the Rory and Logan stuff really, really stood out to me as wrong.
Logan works absolutely be an involved father. He seemed to be looking for any reason to try to make things work with Rory. It's not clear why what with the lack of back story, but he was clearly upset to say goodbye to her.
Rory and Lorelei are snobs who think they aren't snobs bc they're tastes are lowbrow. They mock people who like certain bands very often (Linkin Park, Evanescence, and The Offspring are the mockees that spring to mind). Jess is also a snob in certain ways. Lane too. Basically, the show is full of snobs.
I loved early GG Jess as much as anyone did, but he was truly awful in the middle there. I don't know that I'd use the word abusive but I wouldn't object to it either. He nearly sexually assaulted Rory at that party. I want to excuse him for it bc I lived early Jess so much, but there's no denying that she says no and…
Whatever you think of Logan and his family, it's not cool to keep a father out of his child's life. It would be one thing if Logan was abusive, drug addicted, engaged in criminal behavior, etc, but he's not. He deserves to know and I don't buy this whole "he's Rory's Christopher so it's cool." It wasn't cool for…
I think they're fine as 22 year olds. I went to art school at a prestigious college and saw a lot of pretentiousness. It's obnoxious but age appropriate. I absolutely but that rich Yale students do stupid shit like the L&D brigade do. But at 32? I'm team Logan and even I cannot fathom why the L&D guys for so much…
