@kerowhack: So, my only defense in a debate with you would be to apologize for my logic and feel sorry for those that agree with me.

@rjp is protected: Glad you cleared that up. Doesn't make me a troll. Thank you.

Yikes. Conjunctivitis is the worst, and I can only imagine having the glasses on for 90 to 120 minutes is way worse that touching a doorknob. I never trusted the UV sanitizing that they use. Does anyone know how that works?

@rjp is protected: And was I wrong? Other than not knowing about AM stereo, which I admitted from the start? You sir, are the troll.

@rjp is protected: Are you joking? Do you have the ability to silence dissent? Are you afraid of something?

@Cordfucious of Tech Clan: You provide not so much as an argument, just platitudes. I can only infer that you were hoping that a logical defense was not necessary. Merely that your poetry would put me in my place. Good luck on that path...

Neat.

@Kirril: "at least last I checked the right to increase your AM station's signal power wasn't on any list of human rights I've read."

@Firebird: They're aren't blatantly trying to silence them, there is just no incentive to help them. However... keep a close eye on the NPR budget.

@FriedPeeps: AM means 'amplitude modified', so the channels distinguish themselves by transmitting at specific amplitudes of the radio signal spectrum. This was the original standard, and as you listen to AM radio, you can imagine yourself in the 1920's. I don't think it even supports stereo, but I could be wrong.

@Go Vols!: I assure you... I'm too busy to troll. But this reeks.

@DocBacca: You are right, you are right. I was wrong to frame this as 'funding' for increased signal power.

So the FCC, headed by Democratic appointees, won't fund a boost in AM radio signals that carry primarily conservative views (because that's what actually draws listeners and ratings). Wow. I'll bet NPR gets extra funding tho...
