I’m sure these movies will make billions, but I’m still shocked that everyone seems so excited about it. Who is driving the hype for this? I can’t even remember the last time I talked to someone who liked the original or even brings it up as a joke. It just disappeared from cultural awareness except as a punchline.

Can anyone give me a logical, reasonable argument for why children/teens will be scarred for life if they see or read something that is “sexually suggestive” (however subjective and undefinable that is) but it’s totally cool for them to be fed constant streams of graphic killing and violence?
