It’s very in keeping with the direction this country seems to be headed that there are a lot of very loud and very upset people who cannot stand the idea of others being allowed to exercise personal choice.

I’m assuming you’re very young considering how sloppy your reasoning is, but you will learn some day that just because you personally think something is “stupid” or that “nobody” cares, there is a very big world out there filled with people who don’t live in your tiny world and don’t share your opinions.

So Manchin’s roadblocking of literally every attempt by Democrats to do, well, anything is under the guise of “bringing the country together.” And his plan for that is to simply allow the right wing in this country to take away our rights without a fight.

Since, as the article makes clear, these laws affect a tiny percentage of offenders, it would make much more sense to apply this to all types of reckless driving.
