With enough altitude you can do certain maneuvers in most planes. If you keep it at 1g through the maneuver the plane won’t encounter excess stresses. As if it were flying straight and level.

That was a C-130Jj Ghostrider that did lost control and went momentarily inverted, lost 5000 feet of altitude during testing. Yes, it will not fly again.
