The last paragraph gave me a good hearty laugh because it’s the truth.

20 years a subaru owner and 15+ servicing, tuning and racing them. Subaru spends a lot of time and resources making sure they talk to their customer base. They know what is the best for their ROI and it’s not the enthusiast. The subaru enthusiast

And the EVO wasn’t technically built by Mitsubishi. The Ford GT wasn’t technically built by ford (multimatic). It’s not odd for a special edition to be built outside the normal channels.

I totally get that. I’ve seen weird oil control valve issues on EJs because of foreign debris. I don’t think the newer blocks would fare any better.

1: They stopped eating headgaskets long ago. Yes, there were issues back in the late 90's where NA non MLS gaskets were shit. It’s been fixed.

2019 owner here and I think it’s a great place to be.

That exposed FMIC is not going to like anything hard thrown at it. Nor is the exposed compressor wheel.

More money than brains.

Person that shows up to the track event normally in a nice hauler, unpacks a ex pro level racecar, and it’s their first ever event. Can also mean someone that brought an extremely overpowered car (911, GT-R, Ect.) To their first ever event. Will normally drive way above their heads, ignoring the

Using NASCAR logic adding weight in the form of clear coat to improve aero...

And a balsa wood shift knob. Shave it where ever you can.

I don't think it's the worst idea but I agree that people should be more aware while driving. All this push for saftey features isn't going to help when the features fail or down the road when the sensors break and don't get repaired. Instead of having lean on tech, maybe make the driving tests harder.
