You’re not wrong. We plead to SoA yearly to please give us more performance cars but they’re too busy selling every “normal” car they can make. The enthusiast market is very vocal up until they need to put their money where their mouth is.

Buy a salvage one and do what you wish to it. We did and built a PTD racecar with limited mods and won 2 championships. Campaigning a turbo subaru is a very expensive endeavor. I’ve driven both on track and the BRZ was way more fun.

It’s pointless trying to argue the BRZ here. It’s mostly hate from those that have never driven it. Those that think power = better car don’t understand that a slow car fast is much more enjoyable than a fast car slow. I also seem to remember turning times faster than the spec pinatas and we were on worse tires.

Until I watched Ice Guardians I truly didn’t understand the role of enforcers. It really opened my eyes to their need to be in the NHL.

Or this.

Then get DQed for going off track and gaining position.

What was a comedy is now a documentary.

Stupid Kinja. Here’s the cow.

Well for one it’s a Forester XT. Outside of a subaru event it’s unlikely there will be another forester with a scoop in the lot. Second, windshield banner with my shop’s name on it. Third, a National Auto Sport Association sticker and a TIC cow on the back window as well.

Three seconds is the difference between 1st and 2nd in the race. It holds true with tech as well. It’s fine that they waived the penalty as it was a bit ridiculous but rules are rules for a reason.

As you can tell I bleed WRB. I got hooked on the GC*8 in Gran Trusimo. I got amazingly lucky 15+ years ago and hooked up with a Subaru shop that’s focused on road racing. This allowed me to have a swapped GC back in the early 2000's. I’ve been crew chief on 3 different race teams that we fielded.

Not so much. Lack of common sense, like not starting a funnycar at 10PM, leads to people creating committees like HOAs. If you think that HOAs don’t attract people that love imposing their will over others then you live in a fantasy world.

People that like telling others what to do are the motivating factor behind HOA’s. Lack of common sense is another.

Even with a long interval I tend to keep an eye on the oil. Might have something to do with the GF thinking that after I did the timing belt on her OBS that she didn’t have to check the oil anymore. Since I put the new engine she checks it on every fillup. I think we may have run our BRZ racecar for a whole season on

Well, you’re not wrong. My friend bought the first STi and it was an interesting experience coming down the front straight at VIR then going to brake for 1 and having the pedal go to the floor. They had the smaller WRX bearings and it caused pad knockback. Pump it and it’s fine but the first time was a brown flag

I’m well aware, there is one turbo one in my driveway, that’s why I asked.

Me and the shop I’ve been involved with have been tracking Subarus since before the WRX came out. We did have issue with an 08 STi turbo and a LGT turbo that started eating themselves. Most others that we know have many track miles on them without issue. I’ve heard of it happening but with our personal experience and

You can play Doom on that, right?

I’ve been wrenching on them for 15+ years. Before that I was a professional mechanic on all makes and I don’t see anything out of the ordinary with subaru issues. I know plenty of people that bitch and moan but I also know how they maintain their cars. Everyone that has had issues “just had a tune” and “just a

Keep oil in it and it won’t spin bearings. 20 years ago I forgot to check my oil and the light came on for a second, a second later the engine was knocking. Run must engines on no oil and you’re going to have problems. I have an RS with the shit headgaskets and it’s just starting to seep on a 17 year old car.
