Is the forester NA or turbo? Turbo cars drink oil. Subarus get beat on so they’re extra thirsty.

I’ve been to SIA twice. All the drivetrains for the WRX/STi come from Japan. IIRC, all the drivelines in the USDM cars from Japan but I can’t be 100% sure.
I’ve been deep into the subaru community for many years now. Many were spent being a tech at a subaru tuner and I’ve met all types of owners. I’ve made all kind of mistakes myself and learned from others. There are some things you can cheap out on. There is tons of bullshit on the forums. it’s hard to wade through it…
I’ve been playing with Subarus for a long, long time. My NA cars get conventional oil and intervals of when I can get down to the shop. My Turbo cars get synthetic just because. The cost difference to me is minimal but pretty much any shit dino oil now is amazingly better than oil of the past and even then doubling…
Seriously guys, well done. I watched it almost without pausing (beer was calling) and it was damn entertaining. Your champion skidplate racer seemed a bit... nervous... maybe drunk or tweaking in the last scene but it was the last race of the night and I’m sure the booze was flowing in the paddock by then.
Been looking for this all day. I might be blind but wasn’t there another post about it yesterday that disappeared?
Not fair, they came from the honda scene as soon as they figured out what torque is.
And it’s bullshit. There was a bunch of them that had shit material head gaskets. They fixed the gaskets and the issue has more or less been resolved.
They don’t. I’ve been tracking them for 15+ years and working on them longer. I have a FXT in the driveway with 225k+ on it. If you don’t maintain the cars, shit breaks.
I’ve been driving them for 20 and tracking them for 15+ years. If you keep up on the maintenance it’s unlikely you will have issues. If you don’t follow the manual for the service intervals and run it on hope, shit’s gonna break.
I’ve only owned Subarus for the past 20 years. All of them with EJ engines. The EJ is almost 30 years old. I’ve tracked tons of subarus and most had an EJ. I’m trying to figure out what makes that model year special. I’m not as deep into it as I used to be but I’m pretty sure the STi and the WRX use different blocks.…
I’m trying to figure out that as well. I can understand if it was broken ringlands sending bits through but not sure about the bearings. The EJ has been around for almost 30 years, it’s strange to single out just that range.
Using a quality filter and oil like amsoil can get you longer intervals. Checking oil in any turbo car is a good idea as they tend to consume.
They will consume oil. Barley on the dipstick is probably 1-2 qts. down.
While I know nothing about this particular player I just recently watched Ice Guardians and it has given me new insight in the roles of enforcers in the NHL. Give it a watch and come to your own conclusion.
It’s 8:30 ET, Where’s the stream?
I still have the 4-5 stumps from when the previous owner had some taken down. I need some work done as there are some shady looking seemingly dead branches way too close to the house for comfort. I’m dreading that quote but they don’t have to haul it off, just cut to manageable lengths and I’ll chop and split it for…
One tree? I have 7.
I’m sure there will be a few bugeye WRXs and they are great for getaway cars. Used to be a daily occurrence that one was stolen in the metro area.
Is that before or after they all get carjacked in Newark?
