No lockout on my ‘17 JKU, and the “extra resistance” is fairly weak. I’ve touched reverse shifting from 4th to 6th the first time I tried... it was that easy.

Having owned a 2017 JKU w/6spd for about 6 months now, I can overlook allllll of the quality issues because it does have character that no other vehicle I’ve owned has. My question is does the JL retain that same intangible ‘fun to operate’ feel? Objectively it is better is nearly every aspect over the JK, but what…
Sounds a lot like the e90 M3 V8...
Seriously. I’ve got 10 years of club racing experience and I still don’t trust myself in a mid engined car. Snap oversteer combined with pendulum effect is a recipe for disaster.
I honestly don’t see any issue here. You buy a car knowing its range. You don’t PLAN that a manufacturer unlocks extra range in an emergency.
Looks like a poorly designed parking garage.
This is exactly why I stopped watching BaT. I would have bid up to $12k for the car I begged my dad to buy as a 14 year old. I remember the MSRP being $28k though.
Looks like he has a brand new Super Duty as well.
This is so awesome.
Wow yeah let’s lay into a guy making $12/hr who has burns all over his arms for trying to get a job done. I usually have little tolerance for people fucking up, but my seriously lay off the guy.
With the manual transmission, it’s only $2,500 away from NP territory.
Kept getting fixated on that kite.
So even after a 30 pack of Busch Lite, he still blew a .000. I knew it.
BIR is my home track, and I was up there the next day for a trackday. It was certainly a more somber experience.
Keep the Mazda and find a well kept e36 M3 for $10k. Driving a boring car as a DD will help you appreciate and enjoy the BMW more when you do take it out.
I’ve done the EXACT same thing hundreds of times in Gran Tourismo. Hate that corner!
Let’s say you buy an illegally imported car at year 15 of the 25 year waiting period. If you tuck it away somewhere, does it become legal with no threat of crushing at year 25?
So if I wanted to bring over an e46 M3 CSL, would removing the drivetrain count as acceptable for justifying it as a show piece, allowing me to import it legally?
Either the engine itself is going to be considered a 10k mile consumable, or there is no way it will have 1,000 hp from a NA 6.5L.
