removable hard top and removable doors that can be stored in the vehicle’s cargo area

Same family. Less (but still plenty) of horsepower. Lots more space

It doesnt take much to remove it unless it was left on for 17 consecutive winters and is now rusted in place

I have wonder if it’s the grand-kids saying no, or if it’s mom saying it’s a death trap and blaming it on those damn youths

Cars 3 is actually really good (never saw #2 - heard it was terrible) and it’s on Netflix (I have a small child and watch it at least once a week)

For my next purchase, a bench seat (I will be truck shopping)

I bought an ‘07 Mazda3 with a 5 speed stick (and the 2.3l) new. If I drove it normally, it got about 25 mpg, maybe 27 on the highway. I now daily an ‘06 Pontiac G6 with a V6 that gets me 24 mpg around town and 30 on the highway with a 4 speed auto. Go figure

$15k probably gets you a really nice TJ or a pretty beat up JK, but this is the right answer

By “best one you can” I meant condition, not necessarily the best combo of options.  A normal TJ in good condition can be found for ~$10k

Wrangler is the right answer, but I think you have to go back to the TJ.  Find the best one you can and pocket the extra $$

One of the great joys of having a convertible is taking it out in the winter, cranking the heat up to the max, and putting the top down

I am going the opposite direction. When I bought my truck, it had one of these on it, and I can say from experience that it can take a serious hit

I can think of a couple answers:

Direct from NHTSA website:

They get a 1099 for the car allowance

My work does this for our field guys.  It is your car, the company just gives you $600 dollars a month to cover payments/maintenance instead of providing you with a company car

But those tests are based on an accident with a similar sized vehicle. So a 4 star on an F-150 =/= a 4 star on a Fusion.  You can only really compare vehicles in the same class/category

Currently have an ‘00 and have rust in both of those areas that is starting to grow at an alarming rate

20 years ago there weren’t any crew cab half ton pickups. That was a pretty big change for the pickup market

The auto headlights on my wife’s Grand Cherokee (2015) turn on if the wipers are turned on
