And don’t some of these have driver specific codes? So that your code moves the seat/steering wheel/mirrors to a pre-saved setting so that you don’t have to spend 10 minutes readjusting everything after your (for the sake of this story, much shorter than you) wife took your thundercougarfalconbird out for a spin?

Car and Driver did a bunch of comparisons like this a while ago. The one that really stuck with me was Wrangler vs. G-Wagon. IIRC, they said the G-Wagon was pretty much the same experience as the Wrangler, but for 3 times the price

All of the Autozone/Pep Boys/Advance Auto around me have signs saying 2 gallons per day per person, and none of them have ever cared whether I was buying something or not (although I have never tried dropping the oil off in the bag of a competitor)

I have to fix the third brake light on my Pontiac. Sounds easy, but because GM it won’t be. They want you to replace the whole unit ($100+) because the 3 $0.50 bulbs are hard wired into it. Instead, I am going to cut the old bulbs out and wire in new ones, maybe even solder if I am feeling adventurous

What is an eco-station? Do you take the old oil there? Pep Boys and the like will take you old oil for free (hopefully that helps you out)

But it was a homage to the original mid-engine Mustang concept!

“It’s not about using that as an excuse to change the target. It’s about finding new ways new roads to meet the target.”

Is this an HD? Isn’t that the only way to get the 8 ft bed with the extended cab?

However, most alarming perhaps is that the ad says the driveshaft to the back wheels needs to be rebuilt. Meh

We have our fair share of deer that like to wander in front of cars, but some of these things are made so cheaply. I have seen some that bent back into the radiator from a deer strike

Not related to the story but I don’t care

That’s why I like the engines in my fleet (‘05 Wrangler 4.0, ‘12 Liberty 3.7, and ‘06 G6 3.5). While they may not all be overbuilt, they are definitely all under stressed (I think the Liberty makes the most HP with 210) which I like to think will lead to a long, happy life

Agreed. I get the little ones (below), but there is no need for the giant ones that cover the whole front end

Not sure if you live where this is sold (mid-Atlantic), but it is absolutely my favorite beer of all time (and is brewed down the street from my house)

I saw one of these guys on a Honda Element yesterday. A HONDA ELEMENT!! So my vote goes for brush guards on CUVs

Newer Legacy = Camry with AWD

I thought about borrowing a relatives Ram when I built a patio a couple months ago, but then the gravel place told me delivery was only $20. Sold!

I was thinking along these lines recently but realized I don’t need (wife won’t allow) another vehicle in the driveway (we already have 3), so when I start actually needing the open space, it will be time to utilize the 5k lb hauling capacity of our SUV with a utility trailer

had Doc Brown converted one into a time machine instead of a DeLorean, Marty McFly would never have knocked boots with either Jennifer
