Yes, and? In what way does that support your point and not mine? If she was asking for retro pay for those seasons as In "I want my current salary, multiplied by seven" don't you think the article would mention that? That's not what's happening. What's happening is, she's being offered equal pay to Macy and her

"the actress is currently renegotiating her contract for a salary equal to Macy’s—plus extra, in recognition of the many years during which she was paid considerably less than her male co-star. Rossum has reportedly been offered the same paycheck that Macy—who was the show’s biggest name by far back when it debuted

She's not asking for back pay, she's asking to be the highest paid going forward and using the years she carried the show but made less than Macy as a justification for that. It's not like she wants retro pay, she's just making the point that she didn't get paid the most despite being the lead of the show for eight

Gillian Anderson did more for her profile by staying away for the most part than Duchovny did by appearing in every goddamn thing.

Frank's pretty much the Urkel of Shameless: a comic relief character that only exists to antagonize the central family. Rossum deserves it.

Every year I get at least one Shamrock shake. Usually I end up feeling like I want to die.

Was it Super Size Me or Fast Food Nation that had Kroc on the extras from an old talk show still trying to pitch the Hulaburger?

I could more believably buy Keaton wanting to fuck Frances Macdormand than Clooney.

I could barely tell that was Russell Brand as Long John Silver.

Fun fact: that movie is one of Quentin Tarantino's favorites and possibly that more than any of his more iconic roles influenced him to cast Russell in Death Proof and Hateful Eight.

AS IN THE 42nd PRESIDENT WILLIAM JEFFERSON CLINTON?!?!

There was an article about Leslie Knope last year that spurred a bunch of Breitbarters to raid the comments sections; some never left.

"Teen life" isn't a cohesive thing though, too many variables across regions, classes, cultures, and time. My teen life was best reflected in Nick & Nora's Infinite Playlist but I'm sure that's not true of many people.

That movie still, after dozens, maybe hundreds of viewings, still produces a feeling of joy in me like no other film. As I get old and cynical I rarely react emotionally or get really invested in a movie but that one does it for me still.

This is horrifying and all but, aim a little higher with the wrestling puns maybe?

I prefer the Ctrl-Left.

I tried to find another version of Hang Me, Oh Hang Me the other night that I liked

Chinese zodiac says this is the Year of the Fire Monkey. Makes sense.

Something I hadn't realized, in the scene before, she actually gets the butter and throws it to him. He seems surreptitious when he's lubing his fingers up with it, but it does seem he's not actually touching her. So the butter specifically can't be the issue, it was the whole of springing a rape scene on a young

I think the Cosby thing was because his initial (well, not initial, but the accusation that spurred the Hannibal thing) accusation happened just a few months after the Kobe Bryant verdict. Unfortunately the national mood seemed very much to be "oh that bitch just wants money" and everyone discounted his accuser.
