Yeah, usually. Although Frozen River was set in my town and Melissa Leo's voice was pretty spot on.

I just posted downthread that Hunnam doesn't sound natural using any accent, including his own.

Viggo is from like 2 hours from me in Watertown, NY but I hear zero tells of it.

Two counterpoints:

Laurie does a lot of very British facial tics while doing House. Not sure how else to describe it.

Surely thou wert the son of God, pilgrim.

Yeah that's a common thing here in upstate NY.

Westconston, a lot of times.

Writers always lean too hard into Boston accents, everything set in Boston has someone saying "Who fahhhted ya retahhhhd".

It's funny though, people praise Hoffman's voice work for Lester Bangs in Almost Famous but compared to the real footage of Lester I just don't hear it. Maybe I'm just hypersensitive to upstate accents but all I can hear with PSH is a guy from Rochester trying to sound different.

Watching that this very minute.

Yeah I hated this show at first, thought it was destined to be another Allen Gregory. Glad I came around later.

Bob did the same thing with a stupidly expensive Japanese knife that he ended up wrecking in a pissing match with Teddy though. The show's usually good about balancing their craziness, although it's tilted towards Linda. Usually the husband on these shows is the manchild, in this show it's Linda that's got the more

I'm not great with episode titles but another few favorites are the one where Gene starts a band and gets kicked out, the one with Tina at horse camp, the Hunger Games parody at Fishoeder's house, and the wine train one.

I always pictured it being in Rhode Island or somesuch. Maybe Jersey but a little ways away from NYC.

I have no explanation for why it's the height of comedy for me, but the random cutaway of Teddy in Glengarry Glen Ross makes me giggle every time I even think of it. Just the timing of a random Teddy conversation into "Put. That coffee. DOWN!" has me cracking up even now just thinking about it.

Probably the American Idiot musical, then.

Lemme flip that though: Technique is the go-to rapper for whitesplainers who don't actually like rap but would sooner be castrated than admit they aren't an expert on something, to tell people "_________ isn't a REAL rapper" even though if their herb ass ever went into a club they'd probably clutch their wallet and

No shame towards her blowing anyone I'm just saying, if you're gonna suck dick for your career, aim a little higher. But I suppose you take the opportunities that present themselves.

Welp that's all the evidence we need. Lock him up!
