FXX seems to really not put any effort into getting new episodes up. I usually follow through cable VOD like a plebe and some weeks the new episode doesn't come up until the weekend. Even the crappy FXNow app was a week behind. Seems to be the burden of loving a show less than a million people watch.

You've sold me.

"Only the most bitter nihilists…."

Even if it flashes back to the early-mid 00s it wouldn't be too hard to fudge the timeline, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul do it pretty seamlessly. Although if the voiceover references Instagram I assume it's roughly present day.

I find it hard to feel pity though. Is she just now learning Hollywood has a problem with age discrimination towards actresses? It's a real problem but it's not a recent phenomenon. Just feels like a hack story to me.

I mentally skip over emojis as a rule but I do remember a sequence of gun-baby-ghost.

I understand her frustration but she really should be more pragmatic about Hollywood. It's not fair but it shouldn't be news to her. And be happy for your boyfriend ffs.

Episode before last, her text to Gretchen, "Paul = floor worm. Need abobo ASAP. Marie Callendar?"

I feel like we already broke up with Dorothy; Edgar just seems to be the last to know.

Truthfully though Cornette would have liked him and used him right, could have livened up that roster in the time before Steen took off.

Eh, he was around in 05-06, could have gone ROH then.

CZW runs shows on some guy's farm, they don't even have a locker room. Still a cool reference from Ambrose. Do you think it chaps his ass at all that of all the indie guys in WWE now he's the one that never worked ROH?

Someone at the guiding hand of the MCU is heavily into DMT and probably listens to Joe Rogan. I called it at AoU and I'm calling it now. I'm down with that kind of thing so I'm glad to see it in these movies.

I love Speechless so goddamn much. After working with people with disabilities for the last 8 years or so, seeing some of the truths of that reflected into a show, especially one that isn't sweet or saccharine and has an edge to it is refreshing. Plus it's generally really funny, something I don't usually feel about a…

True.

I had just assumed the SMD was a reference to the big DSLs Pete's got on him.

Sam, Jimmy's dad, and the recurring actor from the first season are all awful. Vernon started out as awful until they tweaked his character.

Eventually they'll have to show Becca and Lindsay's parents. I imagine mom is a rich Real Housewives type trainwreck that divorced dad, a rich lawyer that's really nice and spoiled the girls and footed the bill for everything but otherwise got walked all over by mom. Lindsay seems like that type of person to me.

I haven't seen the episode yet (my cable's out because I'm a poor) but I'm glad they didn't have Vernon laugh at or shame Paul for it. That seems like an obvious direction for broish Vernon to take and it would've been hack.

They admitted they were wrong and apologized for it ages ago, it sucks to see them keep getting hammered for it now. Especially when HR and Dr. Know have both been on deaths door recently.
