The lighting effects actually cheapen the look IMHO. It’s like adding tacky mood lighting from a sketchy ultralounge to a nice fine dining restaurant. It’s trying too hard.

Am I the only one thinking about what could have been? Aerospace industry can run 1-2 decades ahead of the car industry technology-wise (at least in some respects), as “cost effective” on $100m airplanes is not necessary cost-effective for a $50k car. That SSC concept was prophetic. Too bad GM didn’t have the wits to…
Sucks to see yet more affordable performance cars bite the dust.
Nissan’s cars aren’t junk, but ever time I see one I can’t help thinking something like this:
I actually don’t mind the exterior, though it works much better on the SUV than truck. It’s recognizably a Hummer without looking retro or overly cartoonish. Realistically that’s all they needed to do.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but in fairness to GM battery tech, electric motor tech and (perhaps most importantly) the computers needed to optimize them were in a very different place in the 1990s than in the 2010s. The cost and effort to turn something like the EV1 into a fully functional, desirable car anyone…
Agree, there’s give and take here. I can’t stand NIMBYs shutting down car meets (two meets I regularly attend have suffered this fate). No town or neighborhood is going to 100% align with anyone’s sensibilities - best to know what is and isn’t a personal deal-beaker before moving in, do some research, and take a “live…
In my experience this is a recurring problem with dealer franchises of manufacturers who normally don’t offer many/any performance cars that may be in high demand by enthusiasts.
Heard quite a few whoppers over the years, but these cracked me up.
Based on C8 owners I’ve talked to - basically all are pre-ordered at this point. Factory is backed up with orders, many customers waiting on their cars. Everyone I know locally who’s gotten one ordered theirs to spec.
This. Currently looking into used C7s. A mere 10,000 miles on the odo for a 2015-2016 can drop sticker price by $5-10k on a Stingray, even more on a Z06.
FWIW synthetic fuel boosters like Porsche claim e-fuel’s total carbon emissions are roughly equivalent to BEVs once the entire production/consumption lifespan is factored in.
Meh. Tons of people will be vaccinated by then, assuming the pace keeps ramping up. Early studies from Israel (the country with highest # of vaccinated people per capita) are showing minimal transmission associated with vaccinated persons. Now consider a huge # of people carrying antibodies due to prior COVID…
That Rolls press release reads like one of Kyrie Irving’s Instagram ramblings about metaphysics and the universe.
I actually think it looks fine for what it’s trying to accomplish....UNTIL you get to those front air intakes. Those need to be taken down a notch. Or twelve. Even the grille’s chrome vertical bars would work better down there than the mesh, which looks like it could be seen from the Asteroid Belt.
1. Yells racism at someone making generalizing statements about certain nationalities or ethnic groups
I’m anti-DJT and hope he’s convicted, but Hitler? Come on. Dumbass.
Joe Biden is only “center-right” if your “center” is Bernie Sanders.
There’s a two-word answer to your last question: Helmut Marko.
Pretty sure it was in III as well!
