I’d be far more worried about lack of power than size/height, at least if I were driving them regularly. No one should be driving a Kei car on an American freeway. You’d be a dangerously slow chicane.

Good points. I’ve badly wanted a sport bike at times. I just can’t bring myself to do it. Nearly everyone I know who rides has had one or more big off’s. A friend recently got out of the hospital after some moron driving 30+ over in an SUV swerved into his lane. He’s lucky he wasn’t thrown into a guardrail and…
Amen - take all the stars. I will never bitch about the halo again.
I actually find this car quite interesting, admittedly on a racing fanboy level more than anything. It answers what I and many others have always asked: “What would a GTE/GTLM car be like with all the road car’s power?” It’s the biggest thing other than BoP that’s irked me about the current rules. The road cars have…
An F8 would leave a Model S for dead on any winding road you could name. Tesla’s performance trick is drag racing. Acceleration is stupid awesome, but it’s a one trick pony.
BTW, what is it with Nissan dealers and obnoxious radio ads??
A few random thoughts, from a guy who’s bought some cars, thought about buying many more, and helped quite a few friends with the process:
You’d be surprised. Multiple salesman at exotic car dealers (including authorized franchises) have told me these cars are frequently leased. IIRC a Lambo salesman told me majority of Huracans are leased, with another significant % financed.
That’s not terrible. It’s 5.3% in the US state where I live. Some states have lower sales tax, some considerably higher. Keep in mind we also pay a personal property tax as % of book value on cars each year; that holds true almost anywhere in the US.
When it come to anything old, luxurious, and Euro, the first commandment is “Pay now...or pay later.”
Artura sounds a lot like the meaningless names Japanese manufacturers used to create in the 80s and 90s to make their cars seem more distinctive....
This is the dumbest article I’ve read on here in a long time.
I’m tempted to say NP BUT....have you seen the punchlines about TVRs in British car mags, on Pistonheads, etc.?
I’ll admit I don’t understand either car, though the 1 makes more sense than the 2. Disclaimer: I haven’t even seen them in person, much less driven them.
To everyone bitching at Lewis for one reason or another: whiny, egotistical, had help from dominant cars and teams, can’t get along with teammates, some moments of questionable sportsmanship - find me a multi-time F1 champion who DIDN’T have at least a few of those characteristics.
This = the story of Cadillac for the past 20 years.
My thoughts? Dump GTLM/GTE and consolidate high-level sports car racing into a single class. GT3 on steroids, perhaps. Cars should have same underlying chassis as production cars and engines must be in same place (sorry, RSR 19, though I loved thee...). Allow carbon ceramic brakes, multi-stage traction control, engine…
I actually like it better with the removable roof. Eliminates the awkwardly complex roofline with the top down. Hot.
Sat in one at a dealer Saturday. It’s interior is exceptionally well done. Blows a Model S away in terms of fit, finish, and overall design. Then again, it better for what they charge for a Taycan Turbo S. Porsches’ interiors have traditionally been meh unless you load them up with full leather, etc...they’re…
I find the newest M cars just as comfortable and refined as previous generations. If anything they feel too smooth and muted when you aren’t on it! The older generations felt a little more “special” even when cruising, mostly because of their engines.
