It was hyperbolic, sure, but most people watch the trailer for the next episode or have seen the series (which this scene was also in). Let’s not act like a bloater is a big spoiler in the context of The Last of Us. Come on.

k maybe what i said was a little hyperbolic, but still this scene was in the trailer for the series itself. Also. in the context of the show, it’s not that much of a spoiler. So there’s a variation on the fungus zombie. You know what wasn’t spoiled? Anything relating to the story and characters.
Lol there were no spoilers in the headline. People are wilding about something already shown in a trailer. And if you’re a fan of the show and read Kotaku, you’ve seen the trailer and I don’t believe you if you say you didn’t.
As I stated before, I have a more than a decade of experience with our finances to understand that we’ve had several bonuses based on how well the games my husband has worked on. Your mileage may vary, but many AAA studios do this. I mean, google is a your friend here too. I don’t know what your experience is, but…
interesting because I have a source with direct experience from Avalanche Studios themselves that says they do get paid bonuses. Not only that, but this is quite standard in AAA games. Why is everyone being so disingenuous about this? It’s not exactly new.
I don’t care to. I’m part of the lgbtqia community and support trans people. Don’t need to justify that to anyone. I’m talking about the point you made about developers specifically.
Okay you’re just wrong about game development and how bonuses are handled. My husband is a game dev and I can tell you through more than a decade of actual lived experience that they do get bonuses based on how well the games are reviewed and how much money they earned. You’re so wrong on this.
the problem seems to be that they’re breaking sooner more often than later. We all know wear and tear will eventually lead to malfunctioning devices, but it is not reasonable to expect it within only a few weeks.
YES! thank you. It has been happening to me intermittently since launch. I thought my controller might be broken but then after my second controller started to do it, I found that really suspect.
My PS3 controller had drift after a while of heavy use. I bought it in 2009 and started to experience it in 2012 or so, so it was probably just normal wear and tear but it was definitely there.
This strikes a little chord with me, and forgive me if it’s a tad ranty or going off on a tangent. It’s late here while I’m writing this and I also took an ambien, so this will be fun -that said ....
I’m gay. And there are people that *are* actually scared of me. They’re scared of me somehow indoctrinating their children because “think of the children”. They’re scared of me being a father because “a boy shouldn’t grow up in that environment”. I’d say homophobe is a pretty accurate term in the sense that people…
hi daddy
double what you think
I think that Loehr should have stopped responding to the trolls. She basically fed these trolls when her position at Twitch has nothing to do with whether she agrees with voice chat or not. Twitch doesn’t dictate if voice chat goes into video games. It’s absurd that gamers would think she could have that much…
This is a great way to go into it. Gamers go into way too many experiences with their own expecations only to get them dashed because, well, nothing can really live up to overhype. If people come into this one with more objective mindsets, it would prove to me that gamers aren’t entitled brats, but I’m not holding my…
I think this game might divide people, mostly due to whether the game meets your own expectations or not. For newcomers, the experience may feel a lot better, but for those of you that have played the original over and over again, I fear you’ll be disappointed and probably scream the loudest about it online.…
Gay man here. Interesting you bring up the “f-slur”. That word is hard for me to say and hear. I’ve been called it before and it does come with a heavy weight to it that it hits hard when I hear others use it.
Yep. Heather mentioned review scores and critics being split, so that’s what I’m looking at it from. As far as everybody is concerned, it’s impossible to quantify if the game really is split or if there’s a vocal minority that is shaping that narrative. There are no numbers to back that up, so I take it with a grain…
Fair points and I agree. Awards may help sales but because companies will never base projections on whether a game will win an award or not, so we can’t really say that awards these juggernaught sales drivers that some people here think they are.
