Well it’s kind of messy but in the current continuity the Trident of Neptune is a Relic of King Atlan (The King who sank Atlantis several millenia ago) and is wielded by the King/Queen of Atlantis. It takes some minor liberties but nothing to get pissed about

even then he wasn’t trying to destroy the world Thawne just wanted to return to his time

honestly this is one of the few negative reviews I’ve read for this movie, most seem to love it
