That’s pretty much what he was invented for. The original New Mutants run has a lot of dimension hopping and they needed a plot devise for how the characters were communicating with all the other races they were coming into contact with.

For truth. Read the stuff Zeb Wells did with him. He saw the same thing you saw and rightfully made him one of the biggest badasses in the marvel universe.
