Our household calendar has an entry to re-install and try Anthem again Saturday, 22 Feb 2020. Looking forward to seeing their progress.

NiER: Automata just didn’t click for me either. It wasn’t a bad game, it just never grabbed me at any point. It felt like a candy that everyone around you is raving about, but you don’t really care for the taste and force a fake smile when folks ask you about it.

This is also a future stupid name prevention service. Apparently, PSN names will remain tied to your account, preventing future users from using them.

Jason, really enjoy your inside reporting.

Whenever they start up another round of progression servers, I always feel the call to play. The game may not have aged well, but there is something about your first love you can never give up.

Jay Ingram: “Right now we believe this is a less than common occurrence”

I made a new character just for survival. Spawned in at Vault 76, encountered a lvl150ish guy, then we proceeded to emote at each other for a few minutes before I went on my merry way. Made it all the way through Flatwoods and and had just reached the Morgantown airport part of the storyline when I made it to the top

Complicating matters even more are the recently released NPD sales numbers. Folks were expecting the worst, but the sales numbers don’t show that. Anthem enjoyed the second highest launch-month sales numbers in BioWare’s history (Mass Effect 3 being the top).

Unless the Meowscular Chef does the finishing touch, all purchasers of this are doomed!

There is actually an important one missing from this list. The only reason I know is we’re going through this particular loan discharge with my better half.

There is an argument to be made that the 16-bit era was the golden age of JRPGs. But then I realize I may be clouded by the fact that it was a period where I was introduced to JRPGs and hold those first experiences on an unrealistically high pedestal.

I loved this game! I was introduced to it after having played Dune 2 when that came out for the Genesis in 1993.

Season 2 will be known as Overwatch: Year of the Goat.

I’m really glad that this game is working out for folks (and Respawn), but it’s just not for me. I would enjoy it more if it was disconnected from Titanfall completely.

As a PS4 player, I now know how depressing it is to have to wait for a game launch while everyone else has a means to play. We’ve been pretty spoiled.

I like the Super Mario/Fallout mashup!

I think the Pop Tarts cereal had an unfair advantage. All cereals automatically taste better when they are eaten from novelty bowls!

This seems more relevant at the moment.

TLDR version of the earnings call...

Played for about an hour last night. Just couldn’t get out of a mindset of “this would be so much better with titans and wall running.” I would probably enjoy it more if there wasn’t the mental hang up of knowing the pedigree of the game and what it could have been.
