Shadows of the Empire was fine. Certain portions of it, like Xizor’s super-seduction powers, have aged very, very poorly. But the space battles felt like Star Wars, and getting Luke into his X-Wing with Rogue Squadron was good. Actually, Shadows does a pretty good job explaining Luke’s transition from unsure…

This does seem an awful lot like Shadows of the Empire. But they do seem to be taking some of those general ideas (Fett and Solocicle, Criminal (not that) Empire, etc) and doing something a bit different with them. I like bringing up Crimson Dawn, that’s a great idea from a movie that got dropped like a hot potato cuz…

Agreed, and that’s also a reason they did it this way, if you missed the show, him showing up as cap in a new movie would offer zero confusion after Endgame.

I see a few complaints about “Sam is the new Cap” spoilers but didn’t Sam!Cap feel inevitable (esp. since, you know, the biggest(-ish) movie of all time ended with him with the goddamn shield in his hand)? I don’t know, I feel like that borders on “Harvey Dent eventually becomes Two-Face” kind of spoiler that actually…

The fact that the creative team behind this absolute sloppy hot mess of a show is writing the movie drains me of any desire at all to watch it.
