I appreciate these reviews, they always get to the heart of what makes a geek film work, both in it’s genre and on its own merits. That said, I also feel this particular one, reveals too much of the plot. I tried to skip through to the end, but I still read more than I hoped about what happens.
Excellent interview! Thanks io9ers for having Ms. DeConnick on to talk about Carol and her introduction to the MCU.
If Monitor is in the mix doesn’t that mean that Lex could return (alive even!) from another Earth in the multiverse? That seems easier than resurrecting zombie Lex.
I think so too. IDW does Star Wars comics for kids also.
THAT FLUTE AT TEH END THO
Or Carrie. She knew how he wrote AND directed. As a script doc herself, the dialogue in Attack of the Clones might not have been so cringe worthy.
THIS. And the concept art for the Jedi was SO much cooler than what we got. The brown garb should have just been Obiwan’s attempt to blend in on Tatooine.
Where did Dany get that giant-ass House Targaryen sigil banner? It was crazy-quick to get it hung in the smoking ruins of King’s Landing that fast, let alone sewn.
Thank you for this. Some folks seem to forget she took out Sanctuary II. And there’s really no one else who could have done that.
The jokes were homophobic. I didn’t think I needed to be specific since most are aware of what he’d posted many years ago.
It’s like saying you prefer ice cream to water, then discovering that your kitchen sink now only dispenses ice cream.
If there’s proof that people can change, it’s James Gunn. He used to make easy/poor taste jokes on Twitter, and turned that into a fight for LBGT peeps and against injustice.
His roasting by Trumpers and eventual firing proved he’d hit a nerve. Glad Disney did the right thing and I’m even more glad that he’s still…
The show is GOOD.
Here’s two I’d love to see developed:
I like where this thread was heading and all the steps it took to get there.
Thank you. I thought I had it wrong when I commented Universal earlier this morning (on another forum) and saw this.
Maybe Hulk has learned close up magic too!
I don’t disagree with anything your saying. I’m just spitballing as to why more of his crew isn’t along for the MCU.
That’s what I thought too, but this morning the article said Paramount, so I was going with that.
