So when people are saying “owe” they don’t mean “owe”, what they meant was tax liability for the year. Well, shit, I have $7500 federal tax covered just fine
Your withholding doesn’t affect how much tax you pay. It just affects how much money you have to either pay or get refunded at the end of the year for over or underpayment of the amount due.
Not bad at all. It clearly wasn’t built to please the Jalopnik comment section, but I suspect most of the skeptical jalops will grow to appreciate it once they see them in person and get a chance to drive one.
Wow what a bunch of snarky comments so far.
Not likely- the old Sync 2 was made by Microsoft and it was indeed hot garbage. I’m depressed that I’m stuck with it forever on my MY2014 Ford.
You know, the more I think about this, I can see it working. While the people in the “Cars” corner of the internet will complain about something like this, the general public doesn’t give a flying fuck about the brand value. They’ll see this and think “Oh hey, the Mustang. I know that name. They’re sporty and cool…
Hot take- the name is fine, and I’m really looking forward to driving one. Joe Consumer doesn’t think anything less of a Mustang because of this, and no one is going to mistake the two. People in the know will just roll eyes and drop the Mustang and call it the Mach E.
Yeah, screw them and their totally reasonable usage of valuable brand equity acquired over half a century.
The Cayenne didn’t water down the 911, the Urus didn’t water down the Aventador, the Bentayga didn’t water down the Continental GT, the Cullinan dudn’t water down the Phantom and the Ecoboost V6 didn’t water down the Ford GT.
The Mustang is a good looking car. Using its styling cues on another car is good. This is the right position.
As a S550 Mustang owner, I am excited for this. Everyone is freaking out because they see Mustang and Electric together but dont see that its just a styled inspiration. Most act like the regular Mustang is just going to disappear which is not the case, there is nothing wrong with more options.
“The SR/F doesn’t have DC fast charging capabilities–it uses a less complex and lighter AC battery”
I have 3 vehicles, all capable of cross country trips. if I replace 2 of them with EV’s, we can put a total of 55k/yr on the EV’s and still have the truck for road trips. Thats a whole lot of EV mileage
Yeah. I know how you feel. I went to Home Depot and all the saws they sell can’t handle trees 60” in diameter.
You saw it recharges nearly 200 miles in range in less than 30 minutes, correct? Plan a stop in the middle around lunch and it wont even feel like you are losing any time at all
The main weakness of the otherwise excellent Bolt is the limited fast charge rate. It appears that is unchanged for this battery update, unfortunately.
Often times a faster Level 3 charging rate will do more for true long range travel than added capacity, but I suspect consumers get fixated on the range number when…
I’m familiar with home-wiring. It is not two-phase. It is single-phase three-wire..
You obviously do not have a fun or entertainment bone in your body.
Anyone griping about charging does NOT own/operate an EV or PHEV. I have had a Volt for 4 years now and have used public charging maybe 25 times. The rest of the time it charges on a 120V outlet while sitting in my driveway. I have a colleague that recently got a Model 3. Adding fast charging would’ve required a…
