This is the idiot who was charging for access to his site, right?
Because we should feel 0 sympathy for this level of stupidity, but there’s already a dozen ‘bUt ThInK of tHe GaMes!’ comments from people who don’t have a clue.

No... Just No... This was a bad rom site that charged for access. There is zero chance anything of value was lost. The effort this person put in was the bare minimum just to make some quick cash and they did it stupidly too, this is why they are being so badly burned by Nintendo on this. ANYTHING that was on this site…
Well you’re wrong. That’s Nintendo’s property, being stolen and given away for free. There’s no ideological connection to the act. It’s to prevent resale and distribution, not to destroy. People can be so damn dramatic.
how much do you get paid to whine in comments?
Despite the grumpy commenters, and not having strong feelings one way or another about Ariana Grande, this is conceptually one of the coolest things I’ve seen in video games in recent years, and I would have been absolutely thrilled by it back in high school. The merging of a live music event and gaming into an…

You don’t remember the iconic X-Files duo Moulder and Skullie?
Man, this game sounds amazing; I’ll definitely be adding it to my list.
I assume it has to do with dashing through the waves, on a one horse open dinghy.
For those curious, here is the confirmed roster thus far:
This is my view as well. There’s a lot I like about Hollow Knight, but frankly it is just way too hard for me. If I’m spending more time looking at youtube walkthroughs than I am playing the game, it isn’t the right game for me. And even after watching the walkthroughs I mostly still can’t do it.
This should honestly be the top comment. I think the best advice is just don’t bother with this game if you don’t totally, 100% love it with every fiber of your being. Like you I found it to be an amazingly well-made and interesting, atmospheric game. One I wanted to love, but found myself annoyed beyond reason at so…
I really wish we had a games and fandom culture that allowed a person to say, “That thing you like? I get it, but it’s not for me,” and have that be acceptable. Hollow Knight is a little better than most for this, but there are a still a lot of people who insist that if you don’t like the game it’s because you just…
Give up, Riley. I think Hollow Knight isn’t for you, and that’s OK! No judgment. But if beating Hornet left a bad taste in your mouth, you’re not going to enjoy the game. I’m not even saying “git gud”. It took me a few tries to beat Hornet too, and some bosses took me many more tries! But if it’s not fun for you, then…
I burned out really hard on Hollow Knight. The game is incredibly atmospheric, the art style is fantastic and I’m normally a big sucker for boss-heavy Metroidvanias, so why did I get immensely frustrated enough to walk away? It took me a while to figure out, but it comes down to a big design misstep: impact damage…
I feel you, Riley. I want to love that game as much as everyone else, because overall it is really, REALLY well made in nearly every aspect and I love exploration, platforming and boss fights.
But on the other hand, after around ten hours with “Hollow Knight”, I’m pretty convinced many enemy encounters and mechanics…
In that dark, dark time before I fell in love with The Witcher 3, I asked you all to help me finish it. You gave me…
My Daughter and I loved the show so much I started buying her the books (for both of us really), and it’s astonishing how faithful the show is.
The books are absolutely stunning in their own right, and offer so many more details to the world that the shows can’t always fit in. I can’t wait to read this one too.
Here for it, as the youths say.
