I think those are by Sploid, and io9 is just sharing them. But still...yeah.

Is this from the arcade version? The SNES “World Warrior” defeat pose for Zangief looks like the one in the collection here. That’s the one I played anyway :)

IIRC, in the instruction booklet to SFII for the SNES, he trained really hard and can sling his arms so quickly and powerfully that he breaks the sound barrier or something like that.

You have to read waaaaaaay far into the comic before it starts getting good. Part of that has to do with the way the comic started (where readers determined what was going to happen in a kind of choose-your-own-adventure way). Eventually it gets more focused, but it was on my third try before I got that far.

I hear you - I’m 30 and just started with Homestuck last year. It’s definitely after my time as well, although I enjoyed it anyway. It takes a commitment though, because it’s enormous and frankly pretty self-indulgent at times.

Usually our date is SC, so maybe it’s a win even still :)

You can also rename your pet by right clicking on its portrait, if you want something besides “Tallstrider.” I’ve always had a lot of fun coming up with goofy names for pets. I think you only get to change it once per pet though.

Me too! Also, I just loved the look of the Teutonic Knight so much. Both in the game and the real world - with that armor-cape thingy:

It would be like requiring that the person who built your house own a set of keys to your home, and have a special door that only they can get into.

Oh really? I’m afraid I haven’t been since they added the Harry Potter stuff! I hear it’s great. The Hulk is an excellent coaster :)

There’s still a couple that are good, like the Spider-Man ride at Islands of Adventure. That still has a “ride the movies” feel to it, at least. But you’re right!

I totally did too!

I started playing Marvel Heroes not too long after it first came out - and I was pleasantly surprised! It’s pretty great for casual players, and there is still some endgame content. I log in periodically when I’m just looking for some quick mayhem.

I like how the Carrier has no attack on its own, and instead gains attack based on the number of cards in your hand.

I know right...sooo many shows had these incredible intros that just hooked you right away. Then the show itself...ehhh

IT professional here, just wanted to say that Malwarebytes is always my first go-to for malware issues. I’ve used it since 2008-ish, and I recommend it to people all the time.

Thanks for this! This makes me curious though, what is the VR experience like if you only have one eye? I can never take my father to 3D films because it doesn’t work for him. I’m just wondering how things like depth perception would work with these (having never tried VR myself).

Dat nail-biting ending tho

Give it a try! I always used cheats back in the day, and when I played Brood War again recently, I was finally able to beat it without cheats! I don’t know if I’m “smarter” than I was back then, but I’m pretending pretty hard that I am :)

Wizardry! It works!
