People seem to assume that being with your birth mother is always best. It isn’t. There is no degree or qualifications needed to be a mom. Just get knocked up and deliver it.

This child has been with his mother all his life, during which he has moved from making open threats to set people on fire to trying to kill them by getting a gun and making a solid attempt - an attempt that was practically predicted by the fact he was to have constant parental supervision while at school - a…
If you are neglecting your 2 and 4 year olds so you can go steal stuff and they are left with a lighter, then they catch the car on fire, yeah, you’re 1000% responsible for that. It’s not hard to understand.
It’s kind of hilarious that a (at best) minimum wage employee can cause a company a $1M penalty.
It probably is, people just don’t pay attention.
I took multiple, multiple, classes that discussed basic financial literacy in middle and high school. Math, home ec, micro economics. They all at one point went over how compound interest works, why credit card balances need to be paid off, and my favorite, why 0% interest for X months deals are a scam.
i kind of doubt that really happens. i would like to see real numbers on who is taking out a title max loan to pay medical bills instead of just not paying the medical bills.
And many will never listen in that class and then get spicy later and scream “Why wasn’t I taught that in school?”
And going to a secondary source to find something better was never even considered... that jives with the current Jalopnik level of quality “journalism”
I worked in the bankruptcy industry and saw single guys working in the trades with $1200.00 payments on a pickup, then they had their quad and trailer and sled payments too.
Right on the nose, the weirdest thing I’ve seen at a dealership was a used car seller in Lincoln, NE who was locally known as “Weird Wally”. He sold junker cars for cheap, did shoddy work (when he deigned to do repair work), and never pretended to be anything other than what he was.
Case in point: A friend of my dad’s…
Whether a hate crime was committed? How could there be any question?
Near a confederate monument? Shouldn’t it be in place of a confederate monument?
They are forgiven though, in most cases the IRS just says pay us, and gives you a pay schedule instead of all at once, quite often without even an extra fee on it. The penalties are usually only if there are signs of intent or MASSIVE underpayment.
As a CO, this is beyond reprehensible. We perform checks for a reason. If someone hasnt moved in a hour or two we key the cell and check on them for responsiveness. (obviously if we know they are sleeping we don’t). Also if an inmate has missed three meals with us they are automatically checked and placed on suicide…
That’s the right color for a late 1960's Roadrunner
You misunderstand ... for clout? to make a point?
Couldn’t agree more - as a classic car owner that is younger-ish - this is my biggest pet peeve. I have had people at car shows interested in my car and when I tell them all about it (I know ever facet of the build and was involved throughout), they lose interest and walk away when I tell them I didn’t build it myself.
It’s saying a lot that you chose to take a figure of speech as a literal statement.
