I still have my trusty Corolla. It’s a ‘78 so it’s just a bit older than me and it was my first car. It was also my dad’s first car (he got it new from the dealership) and I bought it from him when I got my license and I was afraid he was going to give it away. I paid him around $600 and it was in a bit of a rough

You could even buy kits mail order to convert a Model T into a dedicated tractor. One of the main reasons Ford kept turning out T engines up to 1940 was because of their popularity on farms, either in moving equipment or in stationary use running pumps and the like.

This is almost a carbon-copy of my dad’s story.

He was given his 1927 Model T as a graduation present in 1946 from the town doctor who he worked for throughout high school. She felt that dad needed to have a car to drive to and from college (and to eventually take his lady-friend, my mother, on their first date.)

Dad

Not as impressive but I still drive the first vehicle I bought new. A small, pizza delivery stripper version of a 1996 Toyota tacoma with bench seats, a 5 speed manual, crank windows and at the time- not even a radio as it was a fleet vehicle. That was all I could afford when I was 18.
And I was so freakin’ proud of

Got my ‘68 Cutlass when I was in college in 1995. Not my first car, but the first car I bought with my own money. It steps in as my daily every time my newer car lets me down (like this week).

Did you just take a blow to the head? Are you okay, buddy?

So how does this play with the live free or die state motto. Does that mean her choices are “or death” now?

THIS +100. Heck, I’d take an SRT based Pacifica. As a middle aged man with two toddlers, it might actually make getting a minivan cool.

The seller calls it “Baby?”  What is he, a Dirty Dancing fan-boi?  Having driven a couple of these when I worked at a Toy store, $13.5 is waaaay too much for this underpowered buckboard.  CP Baby.

Let’s see them try that on my 2014 Ram.

Eric Bana of course...

Patrick Dempsey.  Oh yeah, baby!

FTFY

When looking for used cars, I look at the tires first. If someone has a mis-matched set of off brand tires, I'm not sure I can trust anything else they say.

The installer passed my test by aligning the yellow dot with the valve stem.  It drives me batty when I have a set of tires installed and it is not done this way.  This is marked at the factory to indicate the heaviest or lightest part of the tire and will require less weight to balance if aligned with the stem.

Welcome to Jalopnik... you must be new here....

The DeLorean DMC-12. We all love it because of Doc Brown and Marty.

This coming from a country where CCTV reigns supreme and kitchen knives are regulated.
