Oh, I’ve driven enough to only get 4- way discs... even if they’re crappy econ versions.

Best time my car ‘died,’ and I’ve told this story before, but it was when my ex-girlfriend tried to start it. This thing started first time, every time, except THAT time. The look on her face convinced me that was the end of the ‘Why won’t you let me drive your car’ discussion... and it was all I could do to suppress

Savage. Lucky guy to make it out!

Have you heard about the mythical Prelude?

8-10 hours... in a tub. I mean, I can hold it a long time, but that usually involves sweating out a lot of fluid.

Things like this make me happy I live in Canada.

It’s perfectly acceptable to wear either a branded shirt or hat... but THAT’S IT.

True, true.

Ummmm...I guess you could do worse. Fair warning, though: Medicine Hat to Brandon is the type of drive that gives people suicidal tendencies. Best to either drive it at night with an open top or overnight (and hit the water slides) around Moose Jaw.

It’s true. I bought in to the cleaner emissions and better fuel economy...TDI diesels were still an option for future vehicles until I heard about the NoX emissions (not the ‘scandal;’ I’m still convinced you’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg when it comes to emissions rigging) and the problems with the add blue.

Another tip: Your Controller Area Network usually has a serial data backbone that needs to be closed off at both ends. Termination might be done with resistor values or a jumpered connection on a line device...usually the two physically furthest apart devices in the network (logically, your primary control unit is a

Neat thing, that freezing carbon fibre to ship it thing. Also what a major pain in the ass.

See.... that’s what I’d like to see: A vehicle designed to run efficiently in regular driving scenarios, EPA rating be damned. You could almost go so far as to say that all automakers are ‘cheating’ by building economy vehicles that reflect well in testing, but not regular usage. Almost.

Ohhhh...I thought it was a cactus.

 He did neglect Cayenne.

Tequila comes from cacti, right?

I think he’s implying something about the main ingredient in Ikea meatballs.

Torch.... you’re my hero.

See...Nav Canada isn’t the only example of a former crown corporation transitioning to private ownership. Telus used to be AGT, and Fortis (in large part) was TransAlta. There are plenty more examples and there have been mixed results, but most are still in business or paved the way for another large business entity

I read ya. It must be a delicate balance; you might identify a common part to service and make it accessible, then manufacturing or materials improve and that part’s service life gets longer... then it’s now obscuring a more common point of failure.
