That’s my fear.

Thanks David! I have been looking for an old beater truck for a while, but I wasn’t aware that there was still a largely mechanical system like this available. Now I know what vintage to look for!

My thoughts exactly. The interior is probably going to crumble to pieces and the frame will rust out before you even have to worry about the engine.

Nothing is infinite life and almost anything can be recycled, you know that. The best way to make everything quick to maintain is to reduce the number of tools required to gain access. Simplify the hardware and fittings as much as possible and build in lift/jacking points on the really heavy stuff. I, personally,

Hmmm... that gives me an idea...

I feel the same way, but the cold logical part of me and experience tells me you don’t always get that much better quality for paying that much more money. The old timers will tell you it’s not worth paying the premium for consumables... the parts that wear quickly might be considered consumables to some.

Far from the first time I’ve heard that... something something exposed fasteners.

You make a good point. The driver did walk away from the accident.

Re: The Twilight Toyota.

Oh...Torch has been to Manitoba I see.

I wouldn’t listen to these naysayers. Anything is possible if you’ve got the fortitude (and cash) to make it happen.

I was just trying to be unbiased and provide possible upsides to making the location of the subs known.... playing the devil’s advocate, so to speak.

It’s a deterrent...meant to make other parties think twice before taking action.

I think the precedent is to not talk about it at all. Strategy is a delicate art, but a sub’s strategy is to remain undetected as long as possible. Trump, never one for delicacies, seems to favour brinkmanship... but I would think that most Commanders in Chief would recognize the wisdom in keeping their sub rosa

In the end, I think of them as dust covers...I ran without mine for a bit and a lot of dust built up on top of the engine and around the spark plugs. You start mixing that with grease and you’ve got a really messy engine to work on. Throw water in there and you start introducing rust....a cheap piece of plastic that

I don’t know....I liked it. I must have missed the other reviews, but I walked away feeling like I knew the car. I’d consider buying one, given the opportunity... which is not something I could say before reading the article.

They’re useful for preventing dings from rocks and stuff in the winter, but this is a sports car that probably shouldn’t have many winter miles on it and the bra will sit there and rub against the finish if it’s left on there for a long time. Also, if there’s any exposed metal underneath, the car bra will hold in the

I’m not for caring too much about Haldex... more about good pickup at speed.

You get a star for posting the first thing that came to mind for me when I saw the kid likes Lotus.

The Trans-Canada highway from Brooks, AB pretty well right up to Brandon, MB. You start with the horrible smell of the feedlot outside of Brooks, then you have boredom until Medicine Hat, then you sit idle at stop lights for an inordinate amount of time, contend with local traffic, then everything flattens out and you
