No no... the blue one. The thing that looks like someone cut the bed off a moving truck... and shrunk the cab to like 1/6th size.

That’s neat! What is it?
Let me just put my flame suit on....
You know, I said much the same thing when Ford introduced the new turbo 3.5 for the F-150. Got called out on it, too. I said something along the lines of it looking good on paper until the repair bills came in... especially considering how people will operate the vehicle. Turbos need special care and if you’re not…
Unless you’re talking about an economy 4 banger...
This.
There’s an important lesson here. I was thrust into a teaching role in high school and after the first day of complete havoc the only advice my teacher/supervisor gave me was this: Teaching is simply “I show you, now you show me.”
Cramping is normally a sign of dehydration... sometimes it’s completely unavoidable, but keeping up on the water does seem to help.
Hmmmmm... I’d say that, as a youth, I actually resented wrenching. It always seemed as though something was breaking and most of the fixes were emergency roadside repairs, so I was anxious to find the problem and fix it so I could get back on the road. Now, I actually like wrenching (even though it’s my job), and…
See... that makes sense. Being able to tune or detune your ECU on the fly does have its benefits. I have found that I’d like to be able to adjust the mixture in my vehicle for various reasons; sometimes it doesn’t idle quite right, sometimes you want better cruise, sometimes you just want to know how it’s actually…
I’d be more interested in a ‘lectric pickup than a Honda pickup. It would certainly suit my day -to- day needs better... if I can get the range for the occasional road trip, then I’d be totally ok with using one exclusively.
The electrical architecture change has merits, but introducing another new chassis has the smell of a rookie mistake to it. Conventional wisdom tells us that there’s good reasons most manufacturers use common platforms.
Oh my god.... you’re right! Mid 80's window roll up knobs....so good for biting.
Oh....fuck.
Still want kids?
I don’t have kids, either, but they’re monstrous mess-makers in vehicles. A friend of mine let his kid into a vehicle with corn on the cob. The cob, miraculously, made it outside the truck.... after every kernel was meticulously pulled off and tossed on the floor or wherever they landed. The kid caught hell for it and…
Heat can be a big problem. If you can’t keep the heads cool they can warp and score up your cylinder walls. The actual fabrication of the heads does make a difference on how bad it can get, as in the head can be permanently ‘squared’ off. You don’t just get scoring, you also lose compression.
My buddy’s dog locked herself in his truck... even she was able to mash the unlock button by mimicking gestures and she’s not terribly bright, as far as dogs go.
Every day is a Skoda Yeti kind of day. The want is still strong after all these years.
Bipedal designs, as cool as I think they are for robot suits, are a really bad idea for machine combat. You need a low CG, wide stance, and mobility or else you’re just going to get knocked over and crushed.
