I'm the opposite in that I found It Follows terrifying, but even though Let The Right One In was beautifully filmed and had a great coming-of-age story I didn't find it scary in the slightest. Babadook had it moments, but I wouldn't say it's a must-see either.

Upvoted for the Bowie - that run of albums is just incredible. Young Americans is so underrated, and Station To Station/Low/"Heroes" provided the soundtrack for many a mind-expanding experience back in the day.

Even with the requisite number of gross-out gags, there is a sweetness to Mary that's missing from subsequent Farrelly Brothers' films. It's as if they had no idea what people liked about Mary and just decided to double-down on the low-brow humor.
