Having watched The Simpsons from the very first episode I cannot help but to connect Hibbert with Cosby on some level, as the whole Simpsons-moving-to-Thursday-nights-to-take-on-prime-time-behemoth-The Cosby Show really was a big thing at the time. The character of Dr. Hibbert has long since transcended those origins

LOOSEST BINGO CARDS IN TOWN

Agreed. This is fun and all, but the AVQ&A this week could have been "What's your favorite (insert pretty well any character/subject/recurring theme from The Simpsons) quote?" and the comments easily would be in the hundreds by now - and possibly with more meaningful interaction to boot.

Sounds like you got Rap Traxx 3 and your brother got Rap Traxx 2 (both on PolyTel Records). If that's the case, your brother definitely got the superior compilation, though the original Rap Traxx comp had an incredibly strong set of songs: "Wild Thing", "Parents Just Don't Understand", "It Takes Two", "Going Back To

My parents were more than happy to support my Weird Al fandom, so I acquired most of his back catalogue (plus the VHS with all the music videos, yay!) through a series of birthdays and Xmases.

"I Think I Can Beat Mike Tyson" by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. The B-side had an instrumental version that I used to play a fair bit as well just because I had less than a dozen "store-bought" tapes at the time.

Pretty sure my sister's first tape was the original motion picture soundtrack/Elfman score for Beetlejuice (though she may well have bought it primarily for the two Harry Belafonte songs).

"Gimme an R!"
