Yes, I agree. I listened to the NYT “The Daily” podcast today and Michael Barbaro interviewed the NYT Op-Ed editor. The editor said that the NYT had only published a handful of anonymous Op-Eds in its history - something like 4, I think.

My sympathies! My late husband had that and never could get rid of it, I’m sorry to say. He tried everything too. His mother had the same problem, so I wonder if it’s a genetic predisposition to those things. Time for socks, I’m afraid....
