They were in the process of moving the George Bush 41 to his Presidential Library, and wanted to bring it along for exhibition. Thank you so much for the recommendation, I hopefully will be able to check it out sometime! And I can’t think of any current 4WS cars, but with torque vectoring diffs, I think it’s become a

very strong choice

I still have my childhood poster on the wall.

i missed out on PGR2 (like Toni i was a ps2 kid) but PGR3 is still one of my favourite arcade racers ever. it is just about perfect

Still top 3 in my WANT list.

loved this game so much. but i replayed a bit of it last year and I was struck by how hard i disliked all the music the second time around. oof. whiny mid 2000s alt rock did not age well

Hey are you going to eat that plate of schnitzel? Because I will ...

Eh.

I applaud the effort, but think they missed it by about 250 lbs. I really like some of the BMW ‘throwback’ models (R9T Scrambler, racer). Those are on the heavy side too, but are easier for me to forgive. Looking at the R5 (or, later R51) that inspired this bike, you see some details that are spot on:

All BMW Bikes are built in Berlin Spandau and have been for over half a century.

Your feet are underneath you. Where they belong. Not stretched out like your on some sort of ottoman. It’s a motorcycle.

750 lbs! I’d be in line for a slightly updated version of the bike on the right. Not sure which exact model that is, but the R68 is listed around 420 lbs wet. They managed to add over 300 lbs, how? Yes, yes, horsepower, blah blah, but still...
Maybe a “cruiser” has to iron out the road like a rolling pin.

I have zero interest in a big, heavy, expensive cruiser. . . but if I did, this would be it.  That’s a cool looking bike.

The difference is BMW already has good market share in every other motorcycle niche, this is then branching out to another with a good looking, competitively priced product.

I think Harleys are overpriced and the ones I have ridden have a few ergonomic issues, but by and large I like their products. I’ll probably like this, too.

Triumph invited me to ride a Rocket 3 and I CAN’T GO BECAUSE IT’S QUARANTINE TIME. I’m very upset about this.

As a pedestrian New Yorker who just reads the site now and again and is lost almost immediately, these are nice looking bikes!

I like it way more than the American offerings, but I’m going to make the same complaint I usually do out of fairness. Why is it so god damned heavy? Jesus. This is the same company that makes the S1000RR. 750lbs is a barge.

Stay home. Stop procrastinating & fix your collection of shitheaps.
