They’ll likely last a little longer yeah, they’re still all seasons just able to get by regulation tests for snow use (I guess they’re like an all season for cold). Issues will be the same as snow tires, they’ll be louder, and won’t have greatest warm weather traction and wear pretty quick compared to 3 season tires.

Disappointing.

I have the same feeling about motorcycle gear, except 95% of what’s offered for leathers has either a base of Black or White [which is a pain in the ass to keep clean] off the rack. And then most people will choose mesh and textile in black, white or hi-vis yellow. Drives me nuts as riders look pretty much the same. I

Yes but when the car is actually moving down a road or track in which you have airflow around the rotor and caliper. On the dyno you only have a fan pointed at the radiator to provide airflow for cooling that, and even so it’s inefficient.
