Ask for a handful of verde sauces - it elevates the cheap “bachelor chow”-ness!

My mom has *always* been weirded out by my breastfeeding. It’s super odd. She nursed both my sister and myself AND she and my dad were hippies. My dad and teen stepson and friends (and husband) have all been super chill about it. My mom? She gets flustered and embarrassed.

Thank god my stepson’s birthday is in December because I don't think I can handle him turning 16. I just dealt with him turning 15.

Wait... What? I was born after that (not by much) and never heard that story. Link? O

My mom has some stuff in a safety deposit box - but I keep my super expensive jewels (my perfectly matched 9-10mm opera length pearls with a ruby and diamond heart clasp - an inheritance from my Bubby) in my dresser and wear them often.

A favorite bit that was repeated ad nauseum in our family (extended family even!) is the “dad is great, gives us chocolate cake”.

I lost a ton giving birth, but gained weight nursing. So I now weigh what I did before my first pregnancy, but my shape is all different.

Oh yeah, Coco only gained 13 pounds. The kid was 6 (lucky duck! my kid was 9.5) of that, increased uterus was 1 or 2, increased blood volume, 1 or 2, and amniotic fluid was 1 or 2. Plus minor fluid retention... Sounds about right for her frame.

Will.i.am. had that video where he was wearing letter jackets. One was a girls dance letter jacket from my HS a year or two before I graduated. I think we figured out whose it was, but can’t remember whose.

Love this!

Once, during my first pregnancy, I got tired from eating breakfast. I literally had to take a nap.

I’m 34 years old, my husband is 40. We are *still* getting assistance from my father. Like, major help.

The TCN’s who staffed our DFAC at Camp Virginia in Kuwait really put forth their all. Lots of carved fruit and veggies. The food was your bog-standard fare, but the decorations were amazing.

My moms dietician (licensed and all!) told her to stay away from carbonated drinks, even water. I'm not certain of the reasoning.

My sister and SIL were told “lbd, don’t need anything more”. They both ended up with knee length, v-neck cute dresses and the same hairstyle WITHOUT talking to eachother!

My mom has a sampler that reads “no matter where I serve my guests, it seems they like my kitchen best”. Plus kitchens are usually “great rooms” in mansions.

Exactly! My husband would toss his toothbrush immediately if I used it, and vice versa.

Or people who want to be thought of as well off. My sister and I were raised in a poor family and had generalized discussions about money all the time. However, now she lives in Napa - just got married. She REFUSED to talk about costs of it with me. “About average” was all she’d say. Dude. The “average” wedding costs

My husband and I refer to each other’s parents as Mom and Dad and call them that to their faces. It’s just what we do, my mom and dad don’t get offended - nor do his parents. My mom calls my paternal grandma “mom” on occasion, did the same with my paternal grandpa too.

I stopped watching after Mondo didn't win in the regular season. I was so pissed.
