Get your facts straight. Frank was hit in the UK before Black to Magic went on to sell 3 million copies. Just because she didn't achieve worldwide fame with Frank doesn't diminish what was an incredibly solid debut which showed the promise on an incredible talent.

Yeah. Same Trailer Different Park was one of the strongest debuts I'd heard in a very long time. I'd never really understood the appeal of country music until I'd heard Kacey's album and realized what real country actually sounds like. It really is a storytelling, narratively focused genre more than any type of music.

Yeah this is a girl who says that she'd love to experiment with her next record and make a surf rock album. Not your typical country girl. These are all the things that make her different and special and I wish she was bigger on country radio because she has a voice that deserves to be heard.

I had so much respect for her because you just knew there was a chance she was gonna get completely blacklisted by country radio after releasing Follow Your Arrow as a single.

I'm so glad the AV Club is finally reviewing Kacey. Same Trailer Different Park was a fantastic album, debuting a new artist who wasn't afraid to speak her mind no matter the consequences. She's such a breath of fresh air in an increasingly stale genre.
