No I am not. That is a straw man. I am assuming nothing more than the features Tesla is advertising. One of those features is called autosteer which is designed for autonomous lanekeeping at speeds of up to 90 mph.

Take the case of an ordinary “dumb” car circa 1970. Let us consider that the same accident had occurred because the steering wheel had momentarily slipped free of the steering column due to a manufacturer’s defect, causing the car to swerve toward the divider wall. Let’s also assume that this failure was momentary and…
I think the bigger issue is the technology selling point is you don’t have to pay attention at all, until you do. Not a good idea.
“Mr.Huang was well aware that Autopilot was ...not reliable in that exact location.”
Holy hell this a straight-up crackpipe. If you want a “winter beater”, buy a $1k (ok, $1500?) Civic and get some snowtires for it. It’ll perform better than this, and probably be 15+ years newer, and be hundreds cheaper (to buy *and* to maintain). I can’t believe that “NP” is actually winning...
$3K is a bit much for a rusty car, no matter how interesting it might be. CP
“This is simply an incident that comes as a result of F1 pit stops getting ever quicker.”
I ask for as many modifications as it takes to turn a chef’s creation into something I want to eat. I’m paying for the meal, the chef is there for me, I’m not there for him.

I feel like this car probably has PTSD. It’s seen some shit
Wow.. It is Mickey Rourke in car form. It had a young promising career at one point, got banged around a few times, some awful plastic surgery, and is now trying to piece things together for one last go-round.
If he’d read Tom Sawyer, he’d know the trick to really selling it is to feign intense interest, sprinkled with some comments that he’s not sure they could get it quite right.
I am all NP for the Cortina except CP for someone else’s project. Its fate was sealed when at the end, the owner says he’s lost interest.
It’s not something I’d buy, but I’ll be damned if I wouldn’t check it out and be impressed by the work that went into it.
Or anyone with a pulse.
Here comes old man Jalopnik to tell us why this is terrible.
But with that song it would take forever to get somewhere with having to wait to the first yodeling part to finish before I could shut the door.
Ng told Jalopnik that it’s fairly easy to swap this little module out if you know how to sauder.
