Eastbound and Down is one of my favorite shows of all time. I know Danny McBride doesn’t have the greatest range as an actor, but in Kenny Powers he created a stupid, arrogant, regressive asshole, but injected him with enough pathos and vulnerability that you rooted for him, anyway.

The credit for his persona should really go to the guy who invented it:
