I’d like to add one thing to your excellent points (and say that although I went to law school, I dropped out midway through and am not a lawyer): there are a lot of ways to zealously defend even a scumbag, guilty* (*not in a legal sense until after a conviction, of course) client.

Came here to note this.  Also, for pete’s sake, everyone should be showing up to help keep the Rev Warnock in the Senate rather than the train wreck that is Hershel Walker.  If you haven’t ever, look up some of the times that the Rev. Warnock has spoken on the floor of the Senate.  He is a POWERFUL speaker.
