Probably not, modern air brakes don’t apply the brakes when you step on the pedal, the air pressure keeps them open so when you push the pedal down, it’s releasing pressure from the system. This way, if you lose air pressure in the system, the vehicle will stop.

Are a lot of intersections a quarter mile long?

The problem in the US is the market is distorted. If you look at the overall numbers, by far, the majority of new car buyers are over 50 and affluent and that percentage has been steadily heading upwards for 20 years. Pair this with the cost incentives, since these things are cheap to make and can sell at a premium,

I like it too.  I thought the first gen looked too stubby, so a longer hood is exactly what it needed.

49MPGe ≠ 49 MPG

I like it. It looks like a boxier, more BMW-esque version of a toyota 86.

I mean I hate to piss on your parade but automakers are mainly in the business of making money,”

Counterargument: Very few shows have the creative energy to be good past a fourth season. No doubt Netflix pulls the plug on shows quickly, but really very few shows have the narrative drive to sustain four seasons.

Throwback to when the PT cruiser was classified as a light truck to get around fuel economy regulations, because the remainder of their fleet was so awful that they couldn’t get away with releasing a small car with such abysmal mileage.

Most people likely shouldn’t have a dog. My wife and I watched a Youtube video recently about upset dogs and I am SHOCKED that nobody got bit and put into the hospital.

1st gear: “52 MPG in five years is a nice dream. If history is any indication, that’s all it will ever be.”

Ok, but when are they going to fix how CAFE is calculated, where bigger cars are allowed worse mileage?

Mental issues are health issues.

Thanks, Reagan!

Huh?

She clearly has a mental disorder of some kind just from seeing her car piled with garbage. It’s a clear signal that something in her is broken. What’s truly sad is that she is in jail and not getting the help that she really needs instead since, like many in our “wealthy” country, lack proper healthcare.

This is great news. Only 21 short years ago, the Prius was a punchline and a political statement and hybrids were synonymous with veganism and voting for Ralph Nader.
