Exactly, it’s a horrible motivator, but it appeases people up top who like that sort of thing.

They tried firing workers to put the fear of god in them, but what they don’t realize is that the problems aren’t with the regular worker, it’s the people up top. This means the problems won’t be fixed because the people up top are never held accountable for their failures, it’s people on the low end who end up paying…
The thing is that the Model 3 has barely started production. The old adage that one should never buy the first model year of any new car I think holds especially true for this car too. So yes- there are some initial issues with the cars but those will get ironed out in due time. The Model S also had some early…
FYI, you can put a trailer hitch on most cars and buy a light utility trailer for a few hundred bucks and haul building materials, construction debris, n’shit. Something like this:
The Bolt is fundamentally a very similar car. It’s not quite as large nor as attractive but it is a medium production volume, pure electric vehicle at a price that many can afford. It got there first and I’ve heard no complaints from the people buying them. Nissan, BMW, Hyundai , etc are all making pure electric cars…
I feel the same way. I used to kill and kill and kill, but now that I have to do it in video games, I just can’t bear it. It feels wrong.
I wish people wouldn’t drive real cars as though they were playing a game.
I once spent an entire summer playing Grand Theft Auto IV, driving recklessly and it really screwed me up in my perception of reality every time I went outside because of how realistic the depiction of South Brooklyn was. Oddly, I didn’t get that feeling whenever I played Paradise, but hey, video games affect folks…
First Gear: Shouldn’t they have figured out how to build it before they... you know... started building it?
I mirror your sentiments. All I want is a new build of Takedown. I (and many others) consider Takedown to be the zenith of the Burnout series and, to a degree, arcade racers in general. A Remasterd Burnout 3 with 4K60 support would get me to do something that I have not done in a LONG time: Pre-order a game.
wwhut? a 20 year old lhs that still runs?! I think that’s more rare than the weird Toyota Jalopnik just posted about. I know a lead service mechanic at a large FCA dealership that told me those cars were delivered to dealerships often not working. Like dragged off the delivery truck straight into service garage. My…
I sincerely doubt that Elio’s problem is that they’re trying to be perfect.
Give em’ a year or two to depreciate. You can for example buy a 3-4 year old Volt for under 10k now even though they were 40k new.
They are the only company making anything like this at any kind of scale. Meanwhile all of the obnoxious hoity-toity luxury carmakers only have concepts and promises of having something in a few years. Something tells me that if making electric cars was easy the other automakers would’ve had something out years ago.
You, my friend, need a Ford Flex. It’s almost as practical as a van, and insanely comfortable for long hauls.
I don’t know about you, but I want my car to be pretty close to “perfect” before I will spend money, especially a car.
Did Elio ever get a working engine or enough capital to produce the car?
