Just a thought, but maybe judges shouldn’t be appointed for life? Seriously, who the fuck thought that was a good idea?

As long as he keeps stuffing the courts with reactionary shitbirds, both his base and the Senate GOP will continue to support him. Their dream is a court system stacked bottom to top with right-wing ideologues, ready and willing to eviscerate every piece of civil rights legislation passed since Eisenhower.

If men could get pregnant, none of this would be an issue. It wouldn’t be a debate. Hell, it wouldn’t even be a conversation.

If there’s anywhere I feel like we’re losing the hardest, it’s the war against the pro-birthers. Fuck all of these morons. Fuck them all.

They’re trying to label pro-choice people as blood-thirsty baby murderers by ignoring the fact that late-term abortions are in fact rare and done only when the pregnancy is not a healthy for either/or the woman and fetus.

making laws based on the theology of a limited group of its citizens bumps right into the whole Establishment Clause thing.

Pro-life bullshit just means a ban on safe, medical abortions- there is absolutely no fucking way in hell abortion itself will ever stop as long as people are getting pregnant. So to ban a safe abortion done in a clean and sterile clinic is the name of the game. The idea that by making abortion illegal will stop it,

Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s the “pro-life” people who are actually “pro-after-birth abortion” because they support policies that FAIL TO SUPPORT CHILDREN AFTER THEY’RE BORN.

Ugh. Again: while a person’s religious beliefs might ascertain some specific moment at which “personhood” begins - whether at zygote or first breath - in this country, making laws based on the theology of a limited group of its citizens bumps right into the whole Establishment Clause thing. The hypocrisy among the

It’s never been about the facts of the faith. It’s always been about males determining the course of a woman’s life and fertility. And this cartoon president, who really doesn’t even care about the issue, has decided to sell his support to evangelicals, because he can make political hay out of the issue.

David O’Steen, executive director of the National Right to Life committee, told Politico that he hopes Trump will “continue to speak from the heart if he’s as shocked as most people are by the idea of after-birth abortions,” because apparently anti-abortion activists are trying to make “after-birth abortion” a thing

Not that Captain Two Corinthians would recognize it, but it’s useful to point out, once again, that one of the primary reasons why the older, non-evangelical Protestant denominations aren’t particularly worked up by the abortion issue is because abortion is considered, at most, a minor property offense in the Bible.

allow a baby to be ripped from the mother’s womb moments before birth

What. In the actual fuck. Is an “after birth abortion?”

BUILD A WALL AND CRIME WILL FALL!

I mean I totally get the “we can’t negotiate during a shutdown because then he’ll just trigger another one the next time” argument. But part of being a good negotiator is knowing when to pivot off your initial position and take advantage of opportunities. You want to really deter another shutdown? Make this shutdown

you chose the hat, jackasses.

It doesn’t apply in your friends case but I did want to lift up the fact that a significant percentage of unintended pregnancies occur to couples where birth control was used....even 99% efficacy means a certain percentage of individuals will end up pregnant.

I live in DC and had to ride the train with multiple groups of corn-fed, washed-up potatoes masquerading as children on “pro-life” school trips. All of the school trip participants I saw were boys... guess they think educating women ain’t a good look for them

Wow, thank you for this.
