To punish him, first you have to identify the actual written law that was broken. But yeah, he pled guilty, so his best course of action would be to sue his attorney for malpractice.
No, it’s wrong. The actual words in the statute don’t support the charges. A state legislator is not a peace officer. As a peace officer myself (and two-time state representative candidate), I have some familiarity with this.
