So are you going to spend two more articles defending this games microtransactions?? Or was Destiny a special circumstance?? I’ll wait for your answer

1) is a fact no game require 2 or more monitors.

I think you should be at least 18 to comment on this site, there are too many grown up idiots here to add teen ones too.

You contradict your last statement with your first please stop.

Except there’s one problem with that perspective....

I don’t pc game but a good gpu is needed to run games whereas a $500 peripheral is not...

I doubt price will be VR’s primary cause of demise (assuming it does flop), it will be slapping a big plastic brick on your face. If the masses didn’t warm up to 3D, mainly due to having to wear glasses, then I don’t see how they’ll warm up to VR. But who really knows, stranger things have happened in the consumer

But the screens in the Oculus Rift are tiny, and it’s not a self-contained console. It needs a $1,000 PC in order to properly function. The tech is certainly nice; but since it relies on a PC’s processing power in order to function, I don’t see how a price of, say, $400 would be justifiable in the marketplace.

The price of vr headgear is going to be the anchor that sinks it until the next generation tries rebirth it. The circle of life really.

“You are not in competition with other developers, especially other small independent ones.”

“Does your Kindle force you to read every word before you can turn to see the next page of Moby Dick? “

“Gateway platform.” Love it!

well, considering how popular the Wii was with older people, i wonder if it acted as a gateway platform, in a way...?

Hard working modders that will have 40-50% of their revenue pocketed by Steam, and 25% pocketed by the game developer, leaving them with 25% of their actual sales. How generous and ethical!

THEIR work? You mean leeching off the developers work while tweaking some things?

They may have not started that way, but anyone who thinks Valve isn’t just after all your money like anyone else (EA, etc) is full of it.

They’ve been living on their old start up reputation (pre-steam takeover) forever and it’s getting old seeing the internet continually defend them.

I’m not saying they are the worst

They’re trying to fix something that isn’t broken. There’s a reason gamepad controls haven’t changed much in 30 years. Shoulder buttons, analog sticks and rumble. Thanks Nintendo!

Because Conan was big at the time. The true Übermensch doesn’t wear pants, only more muscles.

Just in time to celebrate the death of Castlevania, a statue that will remind you of the days when it was one of the best franchises around instead of the inspiration for a Pachinko machine featuring “erotic violence.”
