Okay, so...how are people supposed to live without working? Universal Income? Who’s paying for that? The rich? We’re not going to tax the rich in any meaningful way, and anyway, so long as Those People can receive UI, it’s dead in the water.

The problem is not Gallup’s methodology, it’s the cult of personality that exists in the GOP today. Every Republican says the man they admire most is Trump, whereas Democrats choose a whole bunch of people, none of whom garner enough votes on their own to beat Trump’s total.

To answer the headline question, the answer is “money”. Money for survival. Money for fun. Money for the people that employ you. Money to make the economy run.
